Field one will either see some spunked-up Birds, or some death-on-the-Spunk. Between Duncan, Bobby, and Chris on the men’s side and Amy and Becca on the women’s side, Spunk will have quite the formidable offense. The Birds’ Dane, Cody, Damon, and Becca will provide a challenging counter, striking back just as furiously. Spunk’s unpredictability is only rivalled by its spirited heart, which has the potential to render the Birds flightless. The Birds are no, pushover, however. Their routine skill on the field will pose a difficult trial for Spunk. We hope the battle between Disc-Hammering Honey #1 and Disc-Hammering Honey #2 won’t strain the lovely ladylove!
Disc-Hammering Honeys forecast – the Birds fly free, 13-9
The fire! The fury! The balls! This last week’s matchup between the determined Ladyfingers and the as of yet unrivalled Redballs promises to be the most sizzling match of the season so far. Will the force of DAMAVO, Dave-Mattie-Bevo, be enough to conquer the fury of Hugh’s extensive reach? The intimidating handling of Rob “The Highlighter” DeHollander and Stretch Osborn combined with the speed and agility of Timo and Sanne will undoubtedly try to cool these Balls off before they get too hot. Vigorous tension is sure to penetrate the game as bananas take on balls! Expect a furious fight to the finish, with strong efforts from both teams.
Disc-Hammering Honeys forecast – Redballs to take the undefeated title, 13-12
Lights – colour – action! After an insanely close loss, the Green Lanterns will be keen to come out on top once more against the Tie-Dyes, but Tie-Dye will be equally keen to keep a victory streak from the last game. The Lantern’s General will have to utilize his signature fake and throw manoeuvre, along with his unshakeable leadership if he wants to skip past Tie-Dye’s defense. Tie-Dye’s Finny and Zane won’t go down without a fight, and certainly won’t make it easy for the Lanterns. Tie-Dye’s spectacular defence should threaten Mike’s game-plan and make him re-think his throwing strategy.
Disc-Hammering Honeys forecast – Lanterns to ignite the path to victory, 13-10
This week’s matchup will see the flowing Dark Matter taking on the ticking Clockwork Orange. Clockwork has been playing strong and hitting fast these last couple of weeks, but have not been able to quite cinch it. Orange will have to play hard to keep up with Dark Matter, but we are sure they more than capable of tackling this challenge. After losing the last three games, Dark Matter will be gunning for a glorious comeback. It is sure to be a heated contest between Dark Matter’s Ashley, James, and Dee and Clockwork’s TJ, Carlos, and Josh. With points flying back and forth, this will definitely be a heated battle!
