Week 3 Game Previews

I don’t know about everyone else but Wednesday is my favourite day of the week! That’s coz it’s Frisbee day! Wahoo J
It always excites me writing up these previews because it gives me an excuse to think about running after a wonderfully aerodynamic piece of plastic. Kudos to its maker!
Anyways let’s get to it!

Field 1

RedBalls vs The Green Lanterns

After 2 weeks the RedBalls and Green Lanterns are at opposite ends of the ladder. I’ve heard the Green Lanterns don’t care for ladders though so with their capable line up they look to be able to put up a great fight to push the RedBalls.
After a freak drinking accident the Lanterns captain Christine looks to be down for a few weeks. Who from the Green Lanterns can step up to fill their downed captain Christine’s boots!?
That responsibility falls to Pretty Pete and his boys.
Can the Lanterns merge together to stop the killer one-two-three that is Dave, Mattie & Bevo?
That is what it will take to beat these flaming balls of fury!

Field 2

Lascivious LadyFingers vs Dye Fast Tie Furious

After last week’s victory Lascivious LadyFingers look to keep on their winning ways against Dye Fast Tie Furious. The LadyFingers are looking good with a couple of key pick-ups in the form of Mark Genge and Junki. The real question to ask is will el Presidente Hugh be at the fields come game time or will he be swimming with the fishes?

The Tie Dye line up is hungry for a win after going down to the RedBalls by 2 in a marathon game last week. With Zane on tactical duties & Stacey on war cry duties expect to see a better prepared Tie Furious line up to come to the battlefield this week!

Some key match-ups across the park will be the battle of the bigs between Hugh & Finny and the battle of the brains between Mark & Zane.

Sparkles Tip – Tie Furious to push through for a 13 – 11 point win.

Field 3

Spastic Spunk vs Dark Matter

In the next match up between Spastic Spunk and Dark Matter the Dark Matter look to extend on their so far undefeated season, while the Spunk look to continue their winning form from last week.
With both teams boasting strong line ups the difference will be which team can show more patience with the disc to use their strike weapons more effectively.
Rumour has it that there has been some secret Dark Matter practise sessions taking part where the team has been practising secret plays code named 'greatest' & James vs Dee score off'. If these plays go to the book expect a barrage coming in through James and Dee being capably fed by Captain Ash O’Sul.
The Spastic Spunk has a solid line up all over. With the solid handling ability of Quint, Nick and Chris they should be able to work the disc all over the field at will.
A huge match up for the night will be Amy Nelson from the Spunk and Dee Finn from Dark Matter. Whoever comes out on top of this match up will go a long way to deciding this match.

Sparkles Tip – Dark Matter to continue in their winning ways taking the match 13 – 10.

Field 4

The Birds vs Clockwork Orange

In the last match up of the week we see The Birds taking on Clockwork Orange. With both teams losing tough games last week they will be looking to bounce back with a win tonight.

Unfortunately for Orange they are still without their inspirational leader Timmy, going down hard last week on his hand. His moral support from the sidelines will be available to rally the team! With the likes of Johannes, Ben & Carlos leading the guys around the park and Aggie DeHollander leading the ladies we can be sure to see Clockwork Orange rally together for an inspirational performance.

On the other side The Birds led by Damon, Cody, Dane & Bekah will be looking to get back on the winning ways shown in week 1. With capable support from Gibbo, FranDawg and the rest of the Birds we should see some good match ups across the park.
