Week 2 Game Previews

Week 2 of league kicks off tonight! Hope everyone is excited to get started! Some big games around the park all night long. With the 4 winning teams from week 1 playing each other the field of undefeated teams will be thinned out to just two, who will they be? On the opposite end of the ladder the 4 teams that fell short in week one are playing for their first wins of the season. Who will be our cellar dwellers in week two? Maybe Hugh is planning an early bid for the Wooden Spoon to regain tradition? Who knows! We will find out all over the next 12-14 hours!!!

Field 1

Lascivious LadyFingers vs Team Green

In week 2 the games kick off on Field 1 with a cracker of a game with Hugh’s Ladies & Lady-boys & Christine’s green clad team (perhaps their lack of a name is an attempt to lull their opponents into a false sense of security?)
With the return of Christine, Peter & Rob to the battlefield Team Green will be a completely different look side come Wednesday.
While on the other side Hugh has picked up a gun in the form of Mark.
Who will win the battle between Hugh & Peter for aerial dominance?
Will Hugh’s ladies be able to step up and shut Christine down?
Both of these will go a long way to deciding the outcome of the game!

Field 2

RedBalls vs Tie-Dye

In the first of the two games with last week’s winners Mattie’s RedBalls will take on Finny’s Tie Dye team. With the battle for bragging rights within mates this is sure to be a heated contest!
The combination of Mattie, Dave & Bevo is not to be underestimated. These three leading a relatively new team to victory last week speaks very highly. With the rest of the team mostly unknown they will keep the Tie Dye clad warriors on their toes.
The much awaited return of Tie Dye to their former glory is well underway with the leadership team of Finny, Zane & Stacey passing on their experience to the rest of the team. With promise showing after just one week of games expect great things from this team!

Sparklets Tip – Finny’s Tie Dye squad to dazzle and awe the RedBalls to a 13 – 9 victory.

Field 3

The Pink Birds vs Dark Matter

The second game with the winners from the last week is sure to be a great match! Dane, Cody, Damon and Bekah running around in hot pink for the Birds makes a very solid line! Their capable beginners are sure to help to make life difficult for Ash and the dark side!
On the other side Ash’s powerhouse squad will return the favour to make things tough for the Birds! The real question we have to ask is will James ‘Air’ David make his triumphant return from injury this week or will Ash have to work without his Halibut star? For Ash’s sake we would also hope to see the sticky handed Damien return to the fields!

Sparkles Tip – After a game for the ages Damon’s Pink Birds to fly through convincingly 13 - 8.

Field 4

Spastic Spunk vs Clockwork Orange

On the far side of the park Chris’ Spunk will clash with the Clockwork mechanics of Timmy’s Orange side. Possibly the two quickest teams overall in the entire league, this game will leave the ground scorched from the blistering pace of each team.
With Chris squirting Aaron, Ryan, Bobby, Nick & Amy across the fields you are sure to see some quick disc work from the team with some very very quick points happening!
Timmy will be working his clockwork offence for some very quick points as well with Carlos, Johannes, Josh & Aggie DeHollander tearing up and down the field.

Sparkles Tip – Chris’ Spastic Spunk to fall short just before the climax for Clockwork Orange to go the distance 13 – 11.
