The first competitive round of Townsville Ultimate for Semester 2 '09 was played on Wednesday night with close games throughout. Many teams managed to have strong showings with a good number of players. The Savages showed they'll have never have to play savage with enough people again for 2 whole lines switching up each point. Surprisingly the Pink Panthers were defeated in a game where surely the distraction of grown men looking pretty in pink (Kevin had dreams of his own) would have been enough to throw Simon and The Racist Dropbears off their game, but alas it wasn't to be.

I do believe that the Racist Dropbears' win should come with an asterisk due to the shady way their team for said day was formed.
ReplyDeleteIf not an asterisk, an unkind remembrance not unlike: Steroids era baseball players, Soviet "amateur" teams and any athletes (female??? especially) from East Germany, ever.
Get you next time, even if you audition more ringers for your cause.
