The Townsville Villains' Royal Rivalry TOURNAMENT!!!

Spread the word! We're set up for a great tournament right here in Townsville at the start of October for all our frisbee fanatics! Held at Queens Park in the city, not far from the beach it's gonna be fun!!!

The format will be a King and Queen hat tournament - which means there'll ideally be one male and one female winner at the end of the day! It also means you will get to play with a lot of different people which equals a lot of fun! The way this format works is teams are drawn from a hat for each game. Each game you will be on a different team to the last and every win you get will be a point towards your name! The person with the most points at the end of the day wins!

The date is set as Saturday the 9th of October, which is the weekend after lecture recess has ended. It will be an all day tournament with lunch provided. There will be great PRIZES for the King and Queen winners at the end of the day, as well as other prizes for small events during the day. This will be the best tournament that Townsville has ever had!

The following day, Sunday, will be an "Unofficial" Recovery Floating Party at Ross River!!! Many of you now know what THAT's all about!!! I look forward to it!

AN OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT WILL BE MADE TO YOU at League, but if you're keen to get started read on:

Step 1: If you know you're really keen, register for the tournament by first joining AFDA to get a membership number. Fill out this registration.
Step 2: Once this is done, click "Tournaments" on the list on the left, and "Register" and find ours which is called The Townsville Villains' Royal Rivalry or just click here.
Step 3: Select your skill level (important in making up teams for a hat) - these are in order of skill level: 1. Monarch; 2. Prince/Princess; 3. Baron/Baroness; and 4. Jester. There will be no "Dunce" category as noone is that bad!
Step 4: See you at the fields!

  2. If you can have this tournament on the same weekend every year that would be awesome and allow some of us out-of-towners to plan for it and come and inject our semi-hard earned cash in to the Townsville Ultimate economy
