FINALS Week 1 Previews!

Our dearest Frisbee Fiends,

It’s time. Time for the most epic rounds of Frisbee this semester. The Red Robin rounds have drawn to a close and finals are upon us. Think of this as a brand new, albeit dirt-encrusted, page of your Frisbee lives. You all have the chance for glory. You all have the chance for greatness. It’s all or nothing. We want to see you come to the fields with your hearts pounding, ready to run, huck, catch, and D. Check your watches, because it’s time to WIN!

RedBalls vs Clockwork Orange

The opening match of finals on field one will see the unconquerable Redballs versus the undaunted Clockwork Orange. The lightning-fast Damavo will face competition from another trio, Clockwork’s own TJ “traffic cone” Kelly, Josh, and Carlos. Mattie “the winning BEEFTRAIN” Hamilton has more win in sight, however, and will stop at nothing to keep his record flawless. The game plan will most likely see a 2-gals, 5-guys ratio, due to a lack of female players on Redballs. With few female players of their own, Clockwork Orange probably won’t complain too much. With all that muscly manpower on the fields, it will be a real battle of the balls!

Lascivious LadyFingers vs The Birds

With both the Ladyfingers and the Birds coming off of last week’s hard losses, each team will be looking for redemption. Hugh “stretch” Osborn and his Ladyboys are sure to seek out those long points but they’ll face a hefty challenge from the undeniable agility of the Birds. If the Ladyfingers don’t watch out, the Birds will run them into the ground. The Ladyfingers are still a force to be reckoned with, however, and the Birds need to bring their top game if they want to beat the bananas. Will the comeback queens make the biggest comeback of all and take the game home? Or will the Ladyfingers return to their dominating ways and emerge victorious?

Dark Matter vs Spastic Spunk

Each team fresh off a win, Dark Matter and Spastic Spunk both have the confidence and skill to win. It will come down to who wants to win, and who shows up. Dark Matter will be flexing its big guns James, who will definitely pose a challenge for Bobby “the beast” Jackson, Nick “beard spunk,” and Aaron “sporty spunk.” Duncan “Shrek spunk” will be MIA this week, which could give Dark Matter some openings. But if Spunk’s zone is on fire this week, Dark Matter will have serious problems overcoming Spunk’s speedy sprinters. On the female side, it will be Dark Matter’s Dee versus Amy “snazzy spunk.” Amy will certainly be bringing a cyclone force to the field – so girls and boys watch out!

Dye Fast Tie Furious vs The Green Lanterns

Like a recurring nightmare, the Green Lanterns and Tie-Dye will be facing each other once more. And if this dream can’t get any worse, Finny will be off at mixed nats, leaving Tie-Dye with a leadership void. The Green Lantern’s General will be sure to take advantage of this and will be pushing hard to score as many quick and long points as possible. Tie-Dye will be working double time to fend off the Lanterns, but they certainly have the ability to come out on top this time. The Lanterns are keen to light the way to one more win, however, and they won’t make it easy for Tie-Dye to score.
