For those new players struggling to get hold of the disc in these somewhat competitive games and for those handlers who aren't able to utelise everyone on their team, here's a tip, use more eye contact.

If you're the cutter trying to get the disc, you have to make the cut as though you want it. Communicate this to the thrower, make eye contact with them and hold it till they either tell you "yeah here, here's the frickin' disc" or "nah, your defender's too close, bugger off".

If you're the handler and see someone cutting but they're so used to not getting the disc that they've turned around to clear out before you've even noticed them, beckon them in, yell their name, point at them; sure the defence will know, but that's when you make the decision to tell them "yeah here, here's the frickin' disc" or "bugger off"!
